Road and Vehicle Management at the Mine

Source Energy Services are experts in the management of trucking logistics at the mine site. We leverage this expertise to coordinate the traffic flow of vehicles entering and exiting the site, ensuring minimal disruptions to the community around the site and enhancing safety.

Trucking Route:

Coming from Highway 2, turn East onto Highway 688. At 50kms per/hr, head East until Range Road 210 (marked Gunning Road). Follow Range Road 210 until the STOP sign at Township Road 842.

Stop and then turn Left (west) onto Township Road 842. Do not turn onto Range Road 212 but continue to the end of Township Road 842 and stop at the STOP sign at Range Road 213.

Turn Right (North) onto Range Road 213 and head North. Follow the road until you have reached the Peace River Mine Site.

As you approach the site, there will be signage indicating where the mine is located and where trucks are to go. Posted at the gate there are also clear instructions on:

  • Using Ladd 1
  • Speed limits on site, which are as posted: some text
    • 50 kms/hour up to the site
    • 20kms/hr on site.

Drivers are not to follow what GPS says as it takes them down a non-heavy truck route. We have put a red “X” where they cannot go on the below photo

In rare conditions, drivers would be able to take the below alternate roads. These conditions include adverse weather conditions that make the road not safe to drive on as well as if the roads in the area have a provincial weight restriction in place.

  • Highway 688 to Township Rd 842 to access Range Road 213.

Trucking Management:

Once trucks arrive on site, they are to stop at the office site and use Ladd 1 to check into the scale shack. The scale shack Operator will direct the driver from that point on.

Regarding Chains:

The ‘Chain Off Area’ once drivers are off site has been clearly indicated with signage at the top of the hill, drivers are asked to please respect this area as it does lead to local residences.
